McAuley has been invited to participate in the Rugby Union Schools 10’s competition. This day will be held at the Bull Paddock in Tumut on Friday 1st April. 
The day is a free event run by Southern Inland Rugby. (Students will need to pay for the bus to and from the venue.)

There will be two divisions, a 3/4 age division and a 5/6 age division. Both divisions are mixed tackle, so boys and girls will play in the same team. Players do not need any experience to participate, these are great days to learn how to play and Southern Inland Rugby will be providing some training at school in the leadup to the day.

The children will come to school as usual and be transported to and from the Bull Paddock by bus students will require $2 per student to be sent in a clearly marked envelope to the Primary Office. Students will return to school at the conclusion of matches for usual transportation home.  

All children need to wear their full sports uniform to school. All students will be provided with a McAuley jersey/top to wear during their games. Players will require a mouth guard and headgear on the day, football boots and socks are recommended but not required. 

There will be a small canteen running but students are advised to bring their recess, lunch, snacks and water bottle. They may also like to bring their own folding chair to sit on when they are not playing. 

In preparation for the day, training will be provided at school on Wednesday March 16th by Southern Inland Rugby Coaches. Students should bring their mouth guards and headgear on this day.
