Staff gathered together for the first of 2 MAPA Workshops. The aim of MAPA is to prevent behaviour escalation through non-physical interventions.
Participants are taught verbal and non-verbal strategies to de-escalate the development of a negative situation. Staff were provided with a framework for decision-making to safely respond to challenging student behaviours.

Sacrament of Confirmation

Year 6 students attended their Confirmation Registration Meeting on Wednesday evening which was facilitated by Father George. These students are now enrolled to be Confirmed by Father George on the 16th June.

Parents were given a booklet to guide them as they support their child on their Sacramental journey.

At the meeting the practicalities of the Sacraments were outlined. All students were presented with a committment form which they will complete during their preparation.

Please keep these students in your prayers.

Come Holy Spirit of Jesus - a Family Prayer

Lord Jesus, your birth gave strength to family life. As Mary and Joseph made their homes places of love and holiness, please help us to follow their example and make our homes truly Christian.

Help us in the commitment we have made to prepare our child for the Sacrament of confirmation which they are to receive son, by our example of prayer and Christian living. Help us to support our child as they prepare to receive the Spirit.

Help our children to know themselves better and to enjoy being the person you created them to be. Open their hearts to the many gifts of the Spirit and may they use these gifts to serve you and their hearts to love you.

Lead us all to a deeper unity with each other as we share our tears and joys together, growing day by day in love. We ask this through Christ our Lord. AMEN
