McAuley took a team of 35 students to Cootamundra for the Western Region Athletics Carnival. While conditions were less than ideal, all of McAuley athletes performed well and the school is proud of their effort and behaviour. 

Students who finished in the top three and brought home ribbons were:

Brad Beavan -  1^st Shot Put, Noah Donghi - 2^nd High Jump, 3^rd Long Jump, Carter Hood - 3^rd Shot Put, Paige Kelly - 3^rd 100m, 3^rd 200m, Jimmy O'Connell, 1^st Discus, Joey Parry - 1^st 100m, 3^rd 200m, 1^st Long Jump, 2^nd High Jump, Chloe Pearce - 1^st 800m, 2^nd 100m, 2^nd 200m, 1^st Long Jump, 1^st High Jump, Lacey Thomas - 3^rd High Jump, 2^nd Discus, Angus Watts - 1^st Long Jump. 

After a very busy and successful day, Chloe Pearce was named 11yrs Girl Age Champion and Joey Parry was Runner Up in the 11yrs Boy category. 

The following students have now qualified to compete at the Archdiocesan Carnival which will be held at the AIS in Canberra on the 23^rd of August:

Brad Beavan, Noah Donghi, Paige Kelly, Jimmy O'Connell, Gavin Olivier, Joey Parry, Chloe Pearce, Lacey Thomas, Angus Watts, Hunter Watts.
