RUGBY UNION MACKILLOP TRIALS
On Sunday 27th and Monday 28th of June, Ashton Ambrose (Yr 5), Jack Corbett (Yr 6) and Brad Beavan (Yr 5) travelled to Forbes for the MacKillop Union trials. They had a compulsory training session on the Sunday with the Waratahs which they enjoyed and all learnt some more about the game. Monday they played four games with the CG Archdiocese team against the Sydney Diocese, Wollongong Diocese, Wagga Diocese and Parramatta Diocese.
The boys participated with great positivity, showed great skill, sportsmanship, made new friends and long lasting memories throughout the day. They represented our school and our diocese at a high level.
Jack was a one of three CG team members who then proceeded to the possible's and probable's. He then went on to be selected further to participate in the MacKillop team, which will travel to Mudgee to participate in the NSWPSSA Championships on August 22nd-25th August. What an awesome effort by the boys to make it to this level and we wish Jack all the best at Mudgee.
