As you may be aware, one of McAuley's annual traditions is to support Vinnies Christmas Appeal through donations of non-perishable items. We are also invited to donate toys as well as food items. Each Primary and Pastoral class had a Christmas basket for students to place their donations in. These baskets were be placed on the altar at our Gifting Mass. St Vincent de Paul members will create Christmas hampers from our donations for individuals and families in our community that are in need.  

The St Vincent de Paul Society is a lay Catholic organisation that aspires to live the Gospel message by serving Christ in the poor with love, respect, justice, hope and joy, and by working to shape a more just and compassionate society.

Our Gifting Mass this year took place on Wednesday 22^nd November.

This is a wonderful tradition for our school, that is a practical way to show our values with our Mercy heritage.
