YEAR 8 YARRANGOBILLY EXCURSION
Year 8 students travelled to Yarrangobilly caves where they explored the South Glory Cave and observed the chemical weathering that has taken place over millions of years causing the formation of this local site. The excursion supplemented classroom learnings on the rock cycle, land formation and chemical weathering. They learnt that sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic rocks contain minerals and are formed by processes that occur within Earth over a variety of timelines.Thank you to Sharon at Yarrangobilly for the wonderful tour and for explaining some of the amazing features of the caves.
