BIOLOGY LESSONS
In recent Biology lessons students have been undertaking a task creating models of cells to answer the question 'What distinguishes one cell from another?'.
They used craft material to make a simple model to easily communicate the different structures present in plant and animal cells, and to help educate others on the unique characteristics of cell types. Their models were colourful, well-researched and a valuable learning tool. One student even printed their own versions of a plant and animal cell using a 3D printer.

Year 11 Biology modelling the structure of the cell membrane using their cake decorating skills. Students had to create their delicious models using lollies to depict specific parts of the fluid mosaic structure of the membrane with its bilayer of phospholipids as well as different proteins and surface markers found on cells.
