Dear Parents, Carers and Friends,

Thank you to those parents who have responded to the Parent Engagement Survey distributed last week. There is still time if you would like to - as the Survey will close on Monday 24^th.

At this stage of the year, the cold weather and sickness are taking their toll; both students and parents are feeling tired and looking for a little peace.

Finding Peace

It is beneficial for you to be able to ‘turn off’ and temporarily leave the pressures of the world behind.

 This method focuses on guiding yourself through a fantasy and finding peace

• close your eyes and concentrate on your breathing
• breath in through your nose and out through your mouth
• focus on a place or a situation where you would feel peaceful and totally at ease
• experience the sounds; believe that you can hear them
• inhale the fragrances
• concentrate on catching the mood and tone of the place or situation
• imagine yourself being there
• slowly leave the fantasy, concentrating on your breathing
• open your eyes
• you should feel relaxed and at peace.

Being in a state of feeling calm will enhance your all-round performance and lifestyle.

I ask that you remember our Year 6 Confirmation Candidates as they receive the Sacrament of Confirmation this weekend at 6pm in the Church. Thank you everyone who has worked behind the scenes to make this Sacrament such a special occasion for the community. God bless you all.
