We had a fantastic morning at McAuley last Tuesday, warmly welcoming students, staff, and families from St Patrick’s Primary, Gundagai for the Public Speaking Competition. 

All students spoke beautifully, exploring a range of thought-provoking topics such as “If animals could talk, what would they say?” and “What mistakes teach us.”

Congratulations to our winners — Alfie, Billy and Emmett — who will now go on to represent us at the Western Region Speaking Competition! 

A special thank you to our volunteer judges, Trish, Emma, and Tony, for their time and thoughtful feedback.

Well done to all participants from both schools — you made us proud! And thank you to Mrs Baron and the team from St Patrick’s for being such wonderful guests.
