Year 10 Science: Physics in Motion
This term, Year 10 Science students have been exploring the fascinating world of motion, investigating concepts such as speed, distance, and time.
To bring these theories to life, students engaged in hands-on experiments using Hot Wheels cars on tracks of their own design. Each group carefully measured distances, used timers to calculate speeds, and compared how different track types—such as straight runs and ramps—affected the cars' motion.
The activity not only deepened students’ understanding of key physics concepts, but also encouraged critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork in a fun and engaging way. It was a fantastic example of how learning can be both practical and exciting.
