Year 3 Mathematics: Perimeter with a Personal Twist
This week, our creative Year 3 students took on a fun and hands-on maths challenge—calculating the perimeter of their own names!
Using rulers and grid paper, students measured each letter and added up the sides to determine the total perimeter. It was a great way to apply mathematical thinking in a personal and engaging way.
There were plenty of “my brain hurts!” moments, but also lots of smiles, teamwork, and a real sense of achievement. Well done, Year 3!
